NEIKER-Instituto vasco de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario SA
NEIKER-Tecnalia, Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development, is a non-profit public company attached to the Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness of the Basque Government. Since the end of 2006, NEIKER-Tecnalia is a member of the technological corporation Tecnalia, whose purpose is to contribute to economic and social development through the promotion of technological innovation.
NEIKER-Tecnalia's commitments are focused on the development of R&D&I projects and knowledge transfer actions aimed at:
- Improve the productivity and competitiveness of agricultural production systems.
- Develop and apply new management technologies on farms.
- To satisfy the quality and safety requirements of the agro-food processing industry, its products and the consumer.
NEIKER-Tecnalia has specialized infrastructures and personnel with the highest qualifications that allow it to offer a wide range of support services to the Basque primary sector. Neiker-Tecnalia has two offices (in Álava and Bizkaia) and is structured in 5 departments. The present project involves the Group of Biomolecules of the Plan Production Department
